Ukrainian authorities suspect former Zelensky spokesperson Yulia Mendel of treason
Ukraine's Security Service and Prosecutor General's Office have notified former presidential spokesperson Yulia Mendel in absentia of suspected state treason and justification of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. The suspicion is based on her public statements in foreign media and on social media, including interviews with Tucker Carlson and Le Journal du Dimanche. Mendel, who is abroad, denies cooperating with Russia and says the case is retaliation for her criticism of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his circle.
