Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies detain former SBU general in “Carthage” operation
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office say they uncovered a criminal organization allegedly providing senior law-enforcement officials with improper benefits in exchange for enabling illegal businesses. The operation included more than 70 searches and the detention of former SBU general Serhii Duka, alongside other suspects. Ukrainian coverage focuses on alleged links between the SBU, National Police, Office of the Prosecutor General and organized crime.
