Ukrainan drooni-iskut osuivat Ilskin öljynjalostamoon Krasnodarissa ja Azovin optiikkatehtaalle Rostovissa

Ukrainan puolustusvoimat iskivät drooneilla Ilskin öljynjalostamoon Krasnodarin alueella yön aikana 26. syyskuuta. Iskussa syttyi tulipalo, ja tehdas keskeytti toimintansa. Samana yönä osui myös Azovin optiikkamekaaninen tehdas Rostovin alueella. Venäjän viranomaiset kertoivat siviiliuhreja molemmilla alueilla.

Pääkohdat

Miksi tämä on tärkeää

Ily refinery is one of Russia's larger facilities, with capacity of about 6.6 million tonnes of oil a year, and its output supports Russian military needs. Striking it disables both civilian fuel supply and military logistics. Ukrainian General Staff publicly claimed the attack as part of long-range operations against Russian energy and defence infrastructure, while the same overnight campaign also hit the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant, part of Russia's Tactical Missiles Corporation, broadening the strike set from fuel infrastructure to weapons-component manufacturing.

Mitä tapahtui

In the night leading into 26 September, drones struck the Ily refinery in Seversky district of Krasnodar Krai, starting around midnight and triggering a fire; locals reported explosions and air-defence activity. The Ukrainian General Staff said the strike was carried out by Ukrainian defence forces, and Fire Point, cited in reporting, said FP-1 drones were used and three primary oil-processing units and the tank farm were damaged; the refinery suspended operations. Krasnodar Krai governor Veniamin Kondratyev said a residential building was hit by drone debris, fires broke out at two enterprises in the district, and three people were killed and two injured across the region. The same overnight campaign hit the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in the city of Azov, Rostov Oblast; regional governor Yuri Slyusar said five people were injured including a child, with damage to apartment blocks, private homes, industrial sites, a school, a cultural centre and cars in Azov. Air-raid alerts in the area were issued about two hours after the attack began. President Zelensky said new long-range Ukrainian strikes had hit targets in Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast and the Black Sea. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed 645 drones were shot down over Russian regions that night.

Näin ukrainalaiset lähteet kertovat asiasta

Ukrainian outlets foreground the General Staff's formal claim of responsibility and present the Ily strike as part of a long-range campaign against Russian energy and defence-industrial infrastructure. Coverage emphasises Zelensky's framing of the operations as long-range strikes hitting Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast and the Black Sea in a single statement, and centres the refinery's role in supplying Russian military needs and its prior history of attacks. Ukrainian reporting cites Russian governors for casualty and damage figures in Krasnodar Krai (three killed, two injured) and Rostov Oblast (five injured including a child), so framing of civilian harm on Russian territory depends largely on Russian official statements.

Missä uutisointi eroaa

Lähteet eivät kaikki yhdistä Ilyn jalostamon iskua Ukrainaan samalla tavalla. Ukrainan yleisesikunta väitti virallisesti iskeneensä laitokseen, ja Fire Pointiin vedoten raportointi kertoi FP-1-drooneilla iskusta ja kolmen ensimmäisen käsittely-yksikön sekä varastoalueen vaurioista. Venäjän alueviranomaiset puhuivat laajemmin drooni-iskuista Severskin piiriin osoittamatta niitä Ukrainalle.

Tausta

Ily refinery has been hit multiple times before: 8 August, when six people were reported injured, and according to Astra, also on 10 July, 2 June, 17 February, 1 January, and during 2023, 2024 and 2025. Monitoring resources cited in the reporting say Ukrainian forces have struck Russian refineries more than 70 times since the start of 2026 and disabled several dozen, and EA Analytics data cited in the reporting says Russian oil refining has fallen to its lowest level since 2002 because of repeated disruptions. On 20 September, US President Donald Trump reportedly urged President Zelensky in a phone call to stop strikes on Russian refineries; Zelensky said Ukraine was ready to work toward de-escalation. The previous night (25 September) Ukrainian strikes reportedly hit a facility in Ulyanovsk involved in guided aviation missile production and two plants in Tula and Voronezh oblasts producing rocket fuel. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed 645 drones were shot down over Russian regions on the night of 26 September.
