Ukraina testasi kolmea ulkoilmasto-ohjusjärjestelmää ja kehittää omaa satelliittiverkkoa
Ukraina on tehnyt vähintään kolme ulkoilmastojärjestelmien testiä, joiden tarkoituksena on torjua lähiavaruudessa kulkevia kohteita. Yritys Himera lanseerasi yhdessä tanskalaisen GomSpacen kanssa testisatelliitin Obria Nano, joka on tarkoitettu itsenäisen viestintäverkon perustaksi. Järjestelmien sarjatuotantoon on kuitenkin uhkana riittämätön rahoitus, jonka kilpailevat etulinjan kiireelliset tarpeet.
- Sarjatuotannon rahoitus on ongelma Suuren rintaman kiireellisten tarpeiden vuoksi.
Miksi tämä on tärkeää
Testистapprod? Nope. Tests bring Ukraine closer to countering Russian Oreshnik missiles, which enter near space and release independently guided warheads. The interception systems are a priority and are expected to move into serial production, but funding is the main obstacle. At the same time, Starlink disruptions have affected military command, drone interception and other operations, increasing the strategic value of Ukrainian satellite communications and reducing dependence on US providers.
Mitä tapahtui
Ukraine conducted at least three tests of systems intended to destroy or intercept targets beyond the atmosphere, including Russian ballistic missiles. The tests covered weapons carried by aircraft operating at very high altitudes. Ukraine plans to bring the tested anti-missile complexes into serial production and is working on the possibility of series production for exoatmospheric interception systems.
At the end of October, Ukrainian technology company Himera and Danish company GomSpace successfully launched the Obria Nano test spacecraft into Earth orbit. The device is intended to form the foundation of an independent Ukrainian communication network estimated to contain about 245 satellites.
The development is also linked to recent Starlink restrictions. Ukraine reported the restrictions on 14 October, after which the Starshield military package reportedly lost connectivity at speeds above 160 km/h, disrupting military missions and reducing the effectiveness of interceptor drones against Shahed drones. On 23 October, Donald Trump said Elon Musk had lifted the restrictions, while Ukrainian military representatives and President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said they remained in force. Zelenskyi reported on 24 October that Starlink and Starshield were again operating at their previous speed.

Ukrainian coverage emphasizes the three interception tests, their connection to the Oreshnik threat and the planned move to serial production. It also highlights funding constraints caused by urgent frontline needs and Ukraine's effort to reduce dependence on American space technologies. Domestic space projects are linked to operational disruptions involving Starlink and to reported Russian actions in space, including the Rassvet network and interference with satellites.

International reporting frames the tests within a broader space-security context that includes Russian jamming, laser blinding and reconnaissance spacecraft near foreign satellites. It also notes a reported Russian effort to build a Starlink alternative involving 49 companies and highlights disagreement over whether the Starlink speed restrictions had been lifted.

Donald Trump said Elon Musk had removed the Starlink restrictions, while Ukrainian military representatives and President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said the restrictions were still in force on the same date. Zelenskyi later reported that full speed had been restored.
Tausta
Russian Oreshnik ballistic missiles are reported to enter near space during flight and release several independently guided warheads. Ukraine launched the Obria Nano test satellite with GomSpace in October to begin developing an independent communication network. Russia has also been reported to jam satellite signals, blind satellites with lasers and position reconnaissance spacecraft near foreign space objects. Ukraine's diversification efforts were additionally accelerated by Russia's rapid development of the Rassvet network and the recent Starlink restrictions.
